Minnie Ola Ivey Smith's Obituary
Mrs. Minnie Ola Ivey Smith of Summerfield, FL, formerly of Tavares, FL, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the age of 88 years. She was born in Covington County, AL to Marshall and Ella (Harrelson) Bozeman. She moved to central Florida in 1953. Minnie was a homemaker. In 1980 she moved to New Mexico and was employed by Systematics Inc. Returning to Florida, she worked at Lake Region Packing House. She enjoyed traveling, sewing and gardening. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her son, Roy Ivey and his wife, Shirley of Astatula, FL; daughters, Marie and her husband, Glen Morrison of Summerfield, FL, Martha and her husband, Ron Rodgers of Matthews, NC; Hellen and her husband, Richard Ryon of Venice, FL; and Shirley and her husband, Bill Crisp of Moultrie, GA; sisters, Katherine Cross of Dothan, AL and Lorena Daughtry of Antioch, AL, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchild and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Horace Ivey and Elliott Smith. Family and friends are invited to gather for viewing on Saturday, February 2nd, from 10:00 until 11:00 am with a funeral ceremony starting at 11:00 am, all in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Tavares Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, Tavares, FL. Condolences and memories may be shared by signing the tribute wall.
