Mildred W. Ivey's Obituary
Mildred W. Ivey of Leesburg, Florida passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the age of 89 years. She was born in Andalusia, Alabama. Mildred met the love of her life, M.C. Ivey and they were married on November 15, 1947. Living in Live Oak, Florida, she raised her family. She was a wonderful homemaker and provided a loving home for her husband and children. She was a member of the Pinemount Baptist Church in McAlpine, Florida. Mildred loved to read and was an avid bowler in her younger years. She also enjoyed gardening and growing fresh vegetables. She moved to Leesburg in 1996.
She was preceded in death by her husband, M.C. in 2009 after 62 years of marriage. She was also preceded by her daughter, Wendy Ivey (Roy) Cummings in 2001, her brother, Esker Williams in 2019 and several other siblings. Mildred is remembered and will be dearly missed by her daughters, Linda (David) Borst of Melbourne, Florida and Donna (Michael) Boatright of Live Oak, Florida; brother, Jimmy (Diane) Williams of Orlando; sister, Faye (Earl) Failla of Oregon; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a graveside ceremony on Thursday, November 4 at 12:30 PM at Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis.
