Mike Leo Skiba's Obituary
Mike Leo Skiba of Tavares, Florida passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the age of 93 years. He was born in Chardon, Ohio. Mike proudly served his country in the US Army Air Force in World War II. He worked 33 years in manufacturing for Euclid, Inc. in Euclid, Ohio. Mike moved to Tavares in 1974 from his home town of Chardon. He was a member of Trinity Chapel in Tavares. He was preceded in death in 1993 by his wife, Evylin Mae. Mike is remembered and will be dearly missed by his sons, Michael Lee Skiba of Tavares and Matthew Mylon “Bink” Skiba and his wife, Michele of Eustis, Florida; grandchildren, Toots Gingerich of Leesburg, Florida, Michael Skiba of Tavares, Joy Skiba of Tavares, Carrie Skiba of Columbia, Tennessee and Carly Skiba of Eustis; and great grandchildren, Shania Gingerich, Chantey Gingerich and Tashana Gingerich, all of Leesburg. Friends and family are invited to gather for viewing on Thursday, May 1, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM with a funeral ceremony starting at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
