Michael Patrick Thompson's Obituary
Michael Patrick Thompson, age 53, of Howey in the Hills, Florida passed away July 30, 2021. He was born September 26, 1967 in Galion, Ohio. He played many sports and was a star baseball pitcher in high school. Mike was a comptroller at Fountain Auto Mall, where he was employed for over 20 years. A pillar of strength for his family, he was a loving husband, brother, son, father and grandpa. Those who knew him will always remember his big smile and hearty laugh. He enjoyed sports, reading, visiting the beach and spending time with family. He was very compassionate and helped to support local food banks and was often known to buy meals for those who needed them.
Mike is survived by his wife of 32 years, Paula Thompson, his two daughters Ashley Doyle and Rachael Register, and his grandchildren Hailey, Autumn and Layla Register. He is also survived by his father, Jerry Thompson, his siblings Deb Pirolli, Sally Greisamer and Matt Thompson as well as his aunt Monica Thompson. Mike was preceded in death by his stepson Christopher and his mother Katy Thompson.
