Michael Jeffrey Hicov's Obituary
Michael Jeffrey Hicov, age 86, of Howey-In-The-Hills passed away after a brief illness surrounded by his wife, Delores, and his children on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. He was born June 19, 1929 in Hicksville, OH and moved to Lake County in 1985 from St. Joe, IN. He was the youngest of 12 children. Michael began working hard at a young age and continued working until the age of 80. His career included a broad spectrum of hands-on work as a maintenance engineer. His personal goal was always to provide for his family and he did just that without complaint…ever. He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Leesburg. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Delores E. Hicov of Howey-In-The-Hills, FL; sons, Jeffrey Hicov of Auburn, IN, Thomas Hicov of Leesburg, FL; daughters, Christine Hicov of Howey-In-The-Hills, FL, Susan (Ron) Hartman of Howey-In-The-Hills, FL, Tamera (Doug) Rogers of Howey-In-The-Hills, FL; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 10:00AM until 10:30AM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Leesburg. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30AM. Interment will take place at Taylor Memorial Cemetery, Howey-In-The-Hills. Arrangements have been entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 E.
