Michael George Dauphin's Obituary
Michael (Mike) George Dauphin 11/13/1954 – 6/3/2019
Mike Dauphin passed away on June 3, 2019 from health complications. Mike was an extremely talented person and could have been a success at anything he chose in life. Everyone liked him and his friendly smile always lit up the room when he entered it. He was fun loving and seldom had a conversation with anyone that did not include some laughter. Always the entertainer, he could capture the attention of a crowd and keep them laughing by simply telling some of his life’s stories. Mike loved music and he played the guitar and drums. He was also a novice writer and wrote some movie screenplays during a particular season of his life. Mike was a native of Ft. Worth, TX, and although he lived in Florida during the latter years of his life, he was always proud to claim his Texas roots. Mike attended St. George Elementary School and Nolan High School, both in Ft. Worth, TX. He was a born being blessed with amazing athletic abilities, excelling in all sports. During his senior year at Nolan High School, in 1973, his quarterback abilities led their football team to the state championship and he was voted All American Quarterback that same year. It wasn’t surprising that he received a full scholarship to TCU where he played football for the University. After college he pursued a successful career in sales/marketing and he remained in that career throughout his life. We miss him greatly and his passing has left a void in our lives. However, we know, as he declared in his last days on earth, that he knew Jesus and he was ready to go home. Mike, we love you and will always miss you. We will see you soon our dear friend and loved one.
Mike Dauphin is survived by Sheila Michalec, (significant other) of Leesburg, FL, his two sons, Derek Michael Dauphin of Ft. Worth, TX and Darin Martin Dauphin of Ft. Worth, TX, grandson, Diego Martin Dauphin of Midland, TX, and granddaughter, Lori Denise Dauphin of Bedford, TX. Also surviving Mike is his sister, Patricia (Patti) Dauphin Edwards of Warrior, AL.
