Sincere (and belated) condolences to Seth and Maury's children and grandchildren in the loss of your husband, father, grandfather. I just found out about Maury's passing on Sunday.
I corresponded, via e-mail, with Maury during the building process at Royal Harbor. I thought I was exchanging messages with a female. Imagine my surprise when we arranged to meet in the computer room of our community, and he introduced himself as my Internet friend! I said, "You can't be Maury. MY Maury is a woman!" After a good laugh, we became instant friends.
Maury was smart, quick and intellectually engaged. There wasn't any event....current or historical that he could not talk intelligently about. We especially enjoyed talking about politics. His compassion and support for the underdog, underserved and underprivileged was sincere and admirable.
Above all, he was so proud of his beautiful wife, Seth, and his growing family. I feel like I know all of you and hope that you will continue the legacy of compassion, intellectual curiosity sense of fairness and love for all things beautiful established by your husband, father, grandfather and my dear, dear friend, Mary.
Sincerely,
Jacqueline Muma
