Maurice Fournier, Jr.'s Obituary
Maurice Fournier, Jr. of Tavares, Florida, formerly of Broward County, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the age of 91. He was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Broward County in 1969, living in Hollywood and Davie. Maurice worked in maintenance and was an all-around handyman for high-rise condominiums in Broward and Dade county until he retired. As a younger man, he had a very active lifestyle with rollerblading, tennis, playing softball, and bowling well into his 60’s. Chick, as he was affectionately known to his family and friends, relocated to Lake County in 2019.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ethel in 1993, his daughter Linda in 1957, his son James in 2016, his grandsons Todd in 2012 and Harold Jr in 2021 and his great-granddaughter Morgan in 2012. Maurice is remembered and will be dearly missed by his sons and daughter-in-laws Roy and Debbie Fournier of Norwalk, Ohio and Paul and Rhonda Fournier of Tavares, FL; his grandchildren Shaun, Casey, Mesa,Skylor ,Nicole,Craig, Kurt, Mellissa, and Krista; and his great-grandchildren Kayla, Willie, Aubrey, Alexander, Eliana, and Colton. Even though Maurice was a man of few words, his warm smile said it all. Rest Peacefully Maurice. AKA Chick, Moe, Dad and gramps.
