Maureen Mary Berry's Obituary
Maureen Berry, 88, of Leesburg, Florida, peacefully passed away on November 15, 2024.
Born Maureen Mary Lafferty on November 17, 1935, in Christchurch, New Zealand, Maureen possessed a vibrant spirit, a love for song and dance. As a child, she participated in singing competitions and raised funds for war bonds through music. She later emigrated to Australia, initially working as a nurse and subsequently as a medical stenographer, even achieving state recognition for her typing prowess.
Maureen's life took a significant turn in 1980 when she embraced her faith in Jesus Christ. This spiritual awakening ignited a transformative journey, leading her to pursue higher education at the age of 45. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Ministry and embarked on missionary work in Greece, where she co-founded churches and supported other missionary groups.
