Born in Horton, Kansas on September 9, 1937, Mary Lou lived a life rich in creativity, compassion, and quiet strength. She married Joseph Clifford Liberty on July 11, 1957, and together they built a beautiful life rooted in devotion and family. Joseph preceded her in death on June 6, 2009. Mary Lou is survived by her four children and their spouses: Scott (Mary), Mike (Terri), Kathy, Jeff (Kathy). Five grandchildren: Mike, Daniel, Erica, Amanda, and Nick. Seven great-grandchildren: Jonah, Ethan, Josiah, Trystin, Braxton, James and Luke. She was preceded in death by her four sisters: Isabel, Eloise, Shirley, Dorothy and grandsons David and Matthew. As a gifted artist, Mary Lou’s legacy lives on in the colors she brought to canvas and the love she poured into her family. Her life was a masterpiece — painted with grace, resilience, and joy. As a devout Christian, her greatest legacies are the answered prayers for friends and family and that the Lord Jesus Christ knew her and she knew Him which is evidenced in her study bibles. Her favorite bible verses which assured her of salvation in Christ alone is found in 1 John 5: 11-13. Mary Lou loved the Lord with all her heart, soul, mind and strength. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 on September 25th at the Garden of Life Chapel, Waterman Village, Mount Dora, Fl. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Salvation Army, in honor of Mary Lou’s lifelong dedication to her Lord Jesus Christ
