Martha Ann Bellew's Obituary
Martha Bellew was born May 7, 1955 in Owensboro, Kentucky to Calvin and Mary Aurelia McHenry. She grew up in Owensboro and graduated from Owensboro High School before completing a bachelor's degree at Murray State University in 1974. She moved to Georgia where she later married Robert “Bob” Bellew on April 18, 1987. In December of 1990, Bob and Martha moved to Florida where they have resided with their two children since. Wednesday, May 10, 2017, Martha has gone on to claim her eternal reward in heaven. As a mother, friend, valued employee, and teacher; she will be missed greatly. Martha was a substitute teacher for the Lake County School Board and delighted in getting to spend time helping children learn. She also enjoyed her job at Cracker Barrel interacting with customers and helping them find those unique gifts for loved ones. In her spare time, Martha enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, and volunteering at A Dancer's Place in Leesburg. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Maurice and Calvin, sister, Yvette, and husband, Robert “Bob” Bellew. She is survived by her sister, Yvonne, brother, Charles, and her two children, Robert and Leighann. A funeral mass for Martha will be held at St Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 16th at 10am. She will then make her final journey back home to Kentucky to be laid to rest next to her husband. Arrangements have been entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 E.
