Marlene Irene Carpenter's Obituary
Marlene Irene Carpenter, age 87, of Tavares, Florida passed away peacefully in her home on March 30, 2022. Born June 1, 1934 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Edward and Irene Dietrich (nee Bentlejewski). She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers; Edward and Charlie, and her much loved nephew, Paul. She is survived by her husband and caretaker, Ronald of 53 years, a sister Ruthie Waryck, three stepchildren; Stephen Carpenter (Shelly), Scott Carpenter (Melissa) and Tracy Deal (Jason), multiple step grandchildren, great nieces and nephews and Porkchop, her beloved parrot of more than 50 years. Marlene made south Florida her home in the 1970’s where she spent most of her life caring for others as a private LPN, which best defines what she was to all at all times; a caring wife, stepmother, grandmother, aunt, friend and one who always had a heart and passion for mere strangers that were less fortunate. Marlene loved the simple things in life, walks on the beach, collecting shells, conversing with and getting to know others, she was an avid reader, loved spending time going to garage sales and flea markets and especially loved buying classy clothes, purses and shoes to compliment her gorgeous suntan! Her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
