Marlene L. Bettis, age 84, of Leesburg passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2015. She was born February 18, 1931 in Chicago, IL. She is survived by her sons, Bruce R. Bettis of Leesburg, FL, Harold Eugene Bettis of OK; and daughter, Be Read Obituary
You were our second mom, our mothers best friend and a big part of our childhood. Thank you for all the love and all the kindness you showed to our family. I hope that you, Harold and my parents will look down on us now and see that we are the people who we are because of your love and support growing up in Sidney. I will miss our hour long phone conversations. Until we meet again, you will be forever in my heart. I love you.

I'll always remember afternoons spent at Molly's house playing cards and watching her cook. (She made the best fried chicken.) And she was always yelling at Randy Barnes for something! :-)

Very sad to hear of Marlene's passing. Marlene was a very special lady to all who knew her. She was always good to me, especially through some of my darkest days. Fly with the angels Marlene! I will always remember your laugh!!
