Marion Florence Baker's Obituary
Marion Florence (nee Stern) Baker, age 90, of Tavares passed away on March 31, 2014 at Sterling House in Tavares, Florida. She was born Sept. 14, 1923 in Princeton, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Hugo Henry Stern and Adeline Anna Asenbauer. She married John W. Baker Sr. on June 26, 1940 in Princeton, WI, moving to Miami Beach, FL immediately thereafter, where she resided until 2008, when she moved to Tavares, Florida. She was a librarian at Lindsey Hopkins Technical School for 25 years until her retirement in 1995. She is survived by her son, John W. Baker, Jr. (Deborah) of Eustis, FL; 3 grandchildren, Brian Kenneth Herrin (Jamie) of Orange Park, FL; Valerie J Baker, and Robert L. Baker, both of Eustis, FL; 4 great-grandchildren: Jamieson A Herrin, Jason L Herrin, Savannah M Herrin and Madison R Herrin. Also surviving is her brother, Lyle A "Pat" Stern (Elizabeth) of Milwaukee; and nephews: Robert A Stern (Chiyo) of Japan, and James F Stern (Maureen), Wauwatosa, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Baker Sr. in 1963; granddaughter, Melissa Karen Herrin in 1998; and nephew, William Patrick Stern in 2005. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
