Marilyn Joy Franklin's Obituary
Marilyn Joy Franklin of Yalaha, FL passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the age of 57. Marilyn was a devoted, loving wife and mother. She was also a teacher of special needs children for 33 years, primarily at Tavares Elementary School, having obtained her Bachelors Degree at Central Michigan University and her Masters at Stetson University. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Elaine Kersul and her brother, Bobby Kersul. Survivors include her son, Blake Huey and her husband, William N. Franklin and his four children, Stephen, Deborah, Catherine (Trevett) and Jennifer. A Memorial Service was held in the Community Church of Howey-In-The-Hills, FL on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11:00AM with light refreshments.In lieu of flowers, donations in Marilyn’s name may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778. Arrangements were entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 E. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares, FL 32778.
