Marian Etta Smith's Obituary
Mrs. Marian Etta Smith of Leesburg, Florida passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the age of 90 years. She was born in Abrams, Wisconsin. Marian and her husband of 70 years, Wilson C. Smith, moved to this area 30 years ago from Jackson, Michigan. Wilson passed away last month. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Mount Dora. Marian loved her family deeply. She enjoyed playing Scrabble and traveling. She and Wilson traveled all over the country in their 5th wheel, as far as Alaska down to Cancun. They had a good life together but she missed him dearly. Marian is remembered by her son, James (Sandra) Smith of Twinsburg, Ohio; daughters, Marjorie (Michael) Boland of Leesburg and Sandra Leggett of Leesburg, brother, Jay Heider of Minneapolis, Minnesota; sisters, Grace Krause of Bark River, Michigan, Edna Tylka of Chicago, Illinois and Carol Cox of Abrams, Wisconsin; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Smith, 23 years ago; her sister, Margaret Jendrusiak and her brother, Harold Heider.Friends were invited to gather for a viewing on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 9 am – 11 am with a funeral ceremony starting at 11 am, all in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.Arrangements were entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, Tavares, FL.
