Margaret C. Brown's Obituary
Margaret C. Brown, 96 years young, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, went to be with her Heavenly Father on August 11, 2021. Margaret was born in Shirley, Solihull England on November 20, 1924, to John and Florence Collins. Margaret assisted in the war effort by wiring military aircraft for World War II in England. Later, Margaret relocated to the United States in Virginia and then later moved to North Carolina, and then retired to Leesburg in 1989. Her days were spent watching the neighborhood from her front porch, watching it grow and progress. Her passion was sitting in front of the television watching one of the favorite shows; Downtown Abbey, challenging herself with one of many word search books as well as knitting. She would make hundreds of Afghans in record time; never dropping a stich and then when completed, she would happily give them away without hesitation.
Margaret was also a born-again Christian. She loved her Lord and Savior and would speak to him every day. A wonderful woman who was loved and will be missed greatly by all who loved her. Margaret is survived by her loving daughter Ruth and her husband William of Leesburg, Florida, brother Robert Japp and his wife Dee of Stokesdale, North Carolina, three grandsons; Michael of Virginia, Matthew of West Virginia and Benjamin of Minnesota including five great grandchildren.
