Margaret E. Belew, 1928-2018
Margaret E. (Trumbauer) Belew, 89, of Tavares, FL passed away July 4, 2018. She was born July 14, 1928 in Kulpsville, PA, the youngest child of Harold and Carrie (Hendricks) Trumbauer.
After graduating from high school in Lansdale, PA, she moved to St. Petersburg, FL, where she met and married Elmer Belew in 1947. Early in their marriage, they both committed their lives to Christ. Margaret served for many years as a secretary at Suncoast Cathedral in St. Petersburg.
After they moved to Tavares in 1974, Margaret worked for approximately 10 years at Lake Abstract & Guaranty, and later at Potter & Vason. She then served as a secretary at Life Church Assembly of God, Fruitland Park until her retirement. Margaret loved the Lord, was a faithful church member, enjoyed singing in the choir, and was passionate about missions. She treasured family & friends, and her greatest joy was cooking & baking for them.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer; and siblings, Dorothy Boltz, Janet Thompson, and Harold Trumbauer.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Sharon Mitchell (John) of Tavares, Carol Hayes (Douglas) of Saylorsburg, PA, Nancy Harkins (Bob) of Winter Springs, FL; 6 grandchildren, Amy Lyng, Michael Mitchell, Brian Mitchell, Rebekah Novillo, James Smith, & Hannah James; and 7 great-grandchildren.
