Malissa Betterton Haben's Obituary
It's not the quantity of life but it's the quality of life. That sure is the case with the special life of Mrs. Malissa Betterton Haben, affectionately known as Mickey to all who knew her. Mickey was loved by all she knew, with such an effervescent personality and radiant smile it was impossible not to adore her. Born in Virginia on December 21, 1931, Mickey had several siblings, 9 in fact. Mickey enjoyed playing solitaire and of course the card game Uno. She also enjoyed going on cruises with her family. You would never catch her without her cup of tea, that was her drink of choice. She was a fan of the musical stylings of Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban and let's not forget her all-time favorite, Celine Dion. Mickey was also a world traveler, not just on cruises, but she was also fortunate to go to London, Germany and Scotland. Mickey and her husband Bob were also known to go to Vegas and the Hard Rock casino in Tampa. This goes without saying, Mickey adored her family, Family meant everything to her! She leaves behind her two children, Rob Haben and Debbie Clark; her four grandchildren, Kelley Walton, Kyle Clark, Robbie Haben and Nikki Waxler and two great grandchildren, Adalynn Haben and Palmer Waxler. Mickey was a huge fan of Lifetime movies, especially during the holiday season. After a 10 year separation, Mickey went to be with the love of her life on September 5, 2022.
