Ms. Cochran played a very important role in my life as I was growing up. I was at her house more than my own. Till this day I love her corn bread made with Alabama cornmeal. Her daughter Brenda and I became friends at a very young age and are still friends today. She and Mr. Cochran treated me as if I was one of theirs and the same rules applied. While they took us to the skating rink they went to the moose lodge. One time they came back to pick us up and they were wearing party hats. They were having fun too. At 15 yrs old my parents decided to move and I didn't want to go and I begged Mr. & Mrs. Cochran to adopt me but...
All in all I understood and loved them both with all my heart. I will miss my phone conversations with her and her voice telling me she loves me. She was very much a mom to me and will miss her terribly. She will always have a special place in my heart.
