Lonnie Roy Breitweiser's Obituary
Lonnie Roy Breitweiser of Tavares, Florida passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018 at the age of 57 years. He was born in Bunker Hill, Indiana and grew up in Peru, Indiana. He attended First Christian Church in Peru. Lonnie proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp. He moved to Volusia County, Florida in 1988 and relocated to Gulf Port, Mississippi in 2005 and returned to Florida in July 2017, settling in Tavares. Lonnie was a brilliant electrical engineer working for Computer Power Systems in Winter Springs, Florida doing contract work with Corvo Technology and Duke Energy. In his free time he loved to ride his motorcycle and was a member of H.O.G. – Harley Owners Group.
Lonnie is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife of 30 years, Jill; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Caitlin Breitweiser of Savannah, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and John Daw of Mount Dora, FL; daughter, Jamie Breitweiser of Mobile, AL; his parents, Jerry and Carolyn Breitweiser of Tavares; brother and sister-in-law, Chad and Corinna Breitweiser of Schneider, IN; sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Mike Browne of Fort Pierce, FL and grandchildren, Cale, Casen, Ann Maris and Carsyn.
A memorial ceremony will be held at Adventure Christian Church in Tavares on Friday, September 28th at 11:00 AM.
A second memorial ceremony will be held at First Christian Church in Peru, IN on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1:00 PM.
Lonnie's urn will be placed in his final resting place following the service at the Ever Rest Memorial Park in Peru, IN.
