Linda Sue Scott's Obituary
Linda Sue Scott, 72 years young, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 29, 2020. Linda was born April 15, 1948 in Norfolk, Virginia to William Arthur and Lucy Frances Jordan. Linda was a selfless woman who gave her love, her time and her career to everyone she met. She graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1970 and continued to work until her illness overcame her. Working in the nursing profession for 33 years, she started as a Cardiovascular Nurse by assisting with open heart surgery patients. She then worked in the ICU or the intensive care unit as well as working in the Neonatal Unit caring for little ones. Later, she assisted families by being a home health nurse. Linda loved the Lord and was a faithful member at Astatula Baptist Church. She loved singing in the choir and served with Reformers Unanimous on Friday nights for many years. Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 15 years, Ronald Scott, Brother Bill Jordan and wife Susan of Williamsburg, Virginia, and his children: Allison, John and Katie and great nieces and nephews include; Chase, Makenna, Peyton, Sarah, Cory, Jessie, Will and Alayna. Sister Doris Duffey of Taylors, South Carolina, beloved nieces and nephews; Amy and her husband Dan, Thomas and his wife Laurie as well as great nieces and nephews; William, Lucas, Annabelle, Scarlett and Lily.
A gathering of family and friends for Linda is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3rd from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, 226 E. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares, Florida 32778. A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow Linda's gathering at Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Carey Kirkley officiating. Linda's place of rest will be at Astatula Cemetery, Astatula, Florida.
