Leslie John Bryan's Obituary
Leslie John Bryan, age 93, of Tavares passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013. He was born August 10, 1919 in Detroit, MI and moved to Florida in 1986 from Rochester Hills, MI. He was a General Manager in the tool & die industry and a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served in WWII as a Medic at the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tavares and was a Mason. He enjoyed bowling, watching baseball, and was an avid reader. He is survived by his sons, John Bryan of Ormond Beach, FL and Gerald D. (Janet) Bryan of Tavares, FL; daughters, Lauri Brown of Apopka, FL, Janis (Joe) Davis of Canton, MI, and Beverly (Kevin) Kimmel of Tavares, FL; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce C. Bryan. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 1:00PM until 2:00PM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00PM in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778.
