Leonard W. Purvee, Sr.'s Obituary
Leonard W. Purvee, Sr., a loving father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 14th, 2021. Leonard was born on April 1, 1955, in Saratoga Springs, New York to Carson and Lois Purvee. Leonard worked as the Chief Operator of the Tavares Wastewater Management Plant for several years for the City of Tavares and later as well for the City of Eustis. Truly an outdoorsman, Leonard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his son going to gun stores. He was also an avid Dolphins and Green Bay Packers fan.
Leonard is predeceased by his father, Carson and brothers, Carson A. Purvee, Jr., Carl A. Purvee and Larry W. Purvee. Leonard is survived by his mother, Lois Purvee, sons, Joshua Purvee, Leonard W. Purvee, Jr., brothers, Kenneth W. Purvee and Michael Purvee, grandchild Rebecca Purvee and very dear friend Buddy Cheatum.
A gathering of family and friends for Leonard is scheduled for Monday, July 19, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, 226 E. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares, Florida 32778. Funeral Services are scheduled for Tuesday, July 20th at 10:00 AM at Steverson's funeral home with Leonard's place of rest at Pine Forest Cemetery in Mount Dora, Florida immediately following the services.
