Leonard Francis Guy's Obituary
Mr. Leonard Francis Guy, of Tavares, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the age of 85 years. He was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He and his wife, Janet, moved to this area in 1999 from Seaview, Washington. Leonard served his country in the US Army during World War II. He was a retired owner of several restaurants throughout his career. Leonard is a member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Dora. He is remembered by his wife of 23 years, Janet; sons, Robert Guy and his wife, Barbara of Logan, Utah; Richard Guy and his wife, Terri of Providence, Utah; Gary Lee Guy and his wife, Patricia of Tehachapi, California; Thomas Guy and his wife, Joan of Lake Elizabeth, California and Charles Guy of Olympia, Washington; daughters, Debbie Alvarez of California and Kimberly Patrick and her husband, Thomas of Tumwater, Washington; brother, Silas Guy and his wife, Dorothy of Centralia, Washington; as well as 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Leonard was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Guy. A memorial ceremony will be held on Tuesday, July 31st at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Mount Dora. Arrangements are entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, Tavares, FL. Condolences may be left for the family by signing the guestbook below.
