Leon Marcel Lataille's Obituary
Leon Marcel Lataille, 86, of Tavares, FL was unexpectedly called to heaven on Monday January 30, 2017. Leon was born on March 13, 1930 in Richford, Vermont to the late Doria and Alice Lataille. Major Leon Lataille served in the United States Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam wars where he flew KC135 Stratortanker air refueler before retiring in 1970. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Patrick Catholic Church. He is survived by: Lucette Simard, of Tavares, FL; Daughters: Connie Lane and Cindy (David) Mynchenberg, both of Orlando FL; Four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. A Viewing will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2017 from 3:00P.M. to 4:30 P.M. followed by a Wake Service at 4:30; Both will be held at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home; 266 E. Burleigh Blvd, Tavares, FL. Mass Service will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 6803 Old Hwy 441 S., Mount Dora. A burial ceremony with Military Honors will follow directly after Mass, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Family and friends may leave condolences and memories of Lee online on the tribute wall. Arrangements have been entrusted to Steverson Hamlin and Hilbish Funerals and Cremations.
