Lee Thomas Bokman's Obituary
Lee T. Bokman of Tavares, Florida passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the age of 78 years. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland. Lee served in the Merchant Marines for several years. He later went to work as a longshoreman working the docks and eventually became treasurer in the office before retiring. He and his wife, Margie moved to Tavares in 2003 from Baltimore. Lee was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Elks. He loved boats and boating. He enjoyed fishing and traveling and also enjoyed gambling. Lee is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife of 19 years, Margie; son, Thomas Lee Bokman of Baltimore; daughter, Cynthia Blackett and her husband, Jerry of Tavares; step sons, Allen Simmont and his wife, Tammy of Baltimore and Kevin Simmont and his wife, Susan of Baltimore; brother, John Francis Bokman and his wife, Ester of Sebring, Florida; sister Rhoda Moore and her husband, William of Leesburg, Florida; grandchildren, Raymond (Ashley) Blackett of Tavares, Allen Simmont, Jr., Tyler Simmont and Cody Simmont, all of Baltimore, Barbara Ann Simmont of Tavares and Angel Simmont of Baltimore, as well as 3 great grandchildren, Arianna, Payton and Taylor. Friends are invited to gather for viewing on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, from 6:00 – 7:00 pm with a funeral ceremony starting at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
