Lawrence Vincent Girsch's Obituary
Lawrence Vincent Girsch, age 82, of Leesburg passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2012. He worked as a supervisor for Pasco County, was a member of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, and a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Girsch of Leesburg, FL; sons, Daniel (Susan) Girsch of Florence, AL and Alan (Mary) Girsch of Valdosta, GA; sister, Dolores (Carl) DeLattre of CT; grandchildren, Kevin, Kyle, and Haley. The family received friends on Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 1:00PM until 3:00PM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 9:30AM at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis. Interment with Military Honors took place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell at 2:30PM on Monday, October 15, 2012. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org/.
