Lawrence D. Setzer, age 85, of Leesburg passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016. He was born July 7, 1930 in Lansing, MI and moved to Leesburg in 1991 from Orlando, FL. He was a retired salesman and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having Read Obituary
Larry will be greatly missed. He would always text me when Mike said I was coming to visit. He knew I would be cooking and he would be in for a feast. The smile and words of appreciation made my heart glad. Mike talked about being home and taking Larry out to eat. Our last memory of him when we visited him in the hospital and he joked about women and me taking him some homemade beef stew hoping he could keep it down. He may be gone but his memory and spirit will live forever. Goodbye my friend. We will remember you often.
To the family you will be in our prayers. Let us know if you need anything. You have Mike's number. Larry always talked about his loving daughter Dawn and his wonderful grandchildren. They were his joy.

Larry was a great man and a good friend. We will miss his wit and wisdom and taking him out for a caramel ice cream to celebrate Cathy's birthday. God bless and comfort Dawn and family. With the deepest respect, Cathy,Brian, Bob and Shirley Giles.
Larry was like a 2nd father to me. I grew up on the same street as the Setzers and was blessed to have Dawn as a friend and Larry and Nancy take me in as a teenager. My father died when I was 18. My dad and Larry were good friends and Larry stood in for my dad when I started dating and when I married. One boy who came over still remembers meeting Larry in the garage --- where all of Larry's guns were. Larry was nice enough to show that boy some of his guns. :) I am so happy that Larry was able to spend time with Dawn and his grandsons before He went to be with the Lord.
