Laura Ruth Cornell's Obituary
Mrs. Laura Ruth Cornell, of Ocoee, formerly of Tavares, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the age of 85 years. She was born in Andrews, North Carolina to Abe Richard and Nancy Beulah (Bingham) Gregory on October 17th, 1924 and moved to the central Florida area as a child. Laura retired from Martin-Marietta as a payroll clerk. She was Protestant by faith. Laura is remembered by her daughters, Kathy Howard of Ocoee and Nadine Witter of Plymouth, FL, as well as 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Family and friends were invited to gather for visitation on Sunday, February 28, 2010 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm with a funeral ceremony following at 3:00 pm, all in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be privately held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Arrangements were entrusted to Steverson - Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares, FL, 352-343-4444.
