Larry Allen Patten, age 74, of Tavares, FL and Harlan, IA passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016. He was born January 10, 1942 in Harrison County, IA. He was the owner/operator of a masonry business and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Harlan, IA. He also was a member of the AMVETS and VFW. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judith Carol Patten of Tavares, FL and Harlan, IA; son, Alan T. Patten of Oviedo, FL; daughter, Amy Jo Placke of Woodland Hills, CA; sister, Cheryl Dickman of Missouri Valley, IA; grandchildren, Alan “AJ” Patten, Jr. and Jake Patten both of Oviedo, FL. Funeral Services will be handled by Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan, Iowa. Arrangements have been entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 E.
