L.T. Newmons' Obituary
L.T. Newmons, age 88, of Altoona passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019. He was born March 7, 1930 in Chestnut, LA. He worked for many years in the warehouse and citrus industry and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War. In his spare time, he loved to go fishing. He is survived by his son, Larry T. Newmons of Altoona, FL; grandchildren, Tyler Newmons, Jimmy Butler, John Butler; great-grandchildren, Carter Newmons, Mallory Newmons, Abigail Butler, and Gabriella Butler. In a heartbreaking turn of events, L.T.'s daughter, Angela Boatman of Summerfield, FL passed away five short days later on February 5, 2019. The funeral services will honor both of their lives. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares. A Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00AM. Interment for L.T. will take place at Pine Forest Cemetery, Mt. Dora. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the Tribute Wall.
