Kathy Ann Morris' Obituary
Kathy Ann Morris
August 7, 1944 – February 1, 2026
Kathy Ann Morris, 81, passed away on February 1, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of stories, love, and memories that will be treasured by all who knew her.
Born on August 7, 1944, Kathy grew up as an Army brat, traveling across the world and experiencing places and people that gave her a treasure chest of incredible stories. Those adventures helped shape her strong spirit, independence, and deep understanding of others.
Kathy devoted her life to education as a teacher, guiding and shaping young minds with patience, wisdom, and care. Her love for learning never stopped — she was an avid reader who collected books throughout her life, always finding comfort and joy within the pages of a good story.
She was known for being hardheaded and stubborn in the most endearing way — determined, strong-willed, and never afraid to stand her ground. But above all, Kathy loved her family fiercely. Her love was constant, protective, and unwavering.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Lee Osborne; her mother, Lois Glass; and her stepfather, Ralph Glass.
She is survived by her children, Leigh Ann Fitch, Echo Morris, and John Shepler; her grandchildren, Nikki Ann Fitch-McGinnis, Josiah Richardson, Spirit Richardson, and Janie Shepler; her great-grandchildren, Jaelynn Mason, Josiah Richardson Jr., Nalaya Richardson, and Lyfe Richardson; and her great-great-granddaughters, Kaida Mason and Keoni Mason.
Kathy will also be deeply missed by the many neighbors who became like family over the years — friendships built on shared moments, kindness, and community.
Her stories, her strength, her love of books, and her deep love for her family will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
She will be greatly missed and forever remembered
