Kathleen "Kat" Gunter's Obituary
Kathleen “Kat” Gunter, 75, of Tavares passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2010. She was born December 9, 1934 in Cincinnati, OH and moved to Lake County in 1989 from Indianapolis, IN. She was a retired school bus driver. Mrs. Gunter attended Mid Lakes Christian Church, Tavares and was a member of the Lake County Eagles. She is survived by her husband, Larry of Tavares, FL; brother, Larry Grills of Batesville, IN; sister, Lillian Powell of Batesville, IN; step-sons, Vincent Gunter and James Gunter, both of Dupo, Ill; step-daughter, Cyndi Bertschi of Carterville, Ill; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Brandenburg. Funeral Services for Mrs. Gunter were held in Sunman, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were entrusted to Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, 226 E. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares, FL 32778.
