Katherine J. Cook's Obituary
Katherine Jones Cook of Tavares, Florida passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the age of 87 years. Born in Dozier, Alabama, she moved to Florida as a child and to Tavares in 1960. She was a homemaker. Katherine was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Eustis and the Woman’s Club of Tavares.
She was preceded in death in June 2014 by her husband of 60 years, Robert. Katherine is survived by her sons, Steven R. (Dolores) Cook of Miami, FL, Kenneth E. (Dawn) Cook of Orlando, FL, James K. Cook of Tavares, Thomas R. (Britton) Cook of Swarthmore, PA and David R. (Carla) Cook of Tavares; grandchildren, Laura, Timothy, Jennifer, Benjamin, Parker, Michael, Christian, William and Candy; great grandchildren, Caden, Juliette and Madeline; and brother, Dalton, R. Jones of Dunedin, FL.
A memorial ceremony will be held on Friday, January 9 at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church, 117 S. Center St., Eustis, FL 32726. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the First Presbyterian Church of Eustis or Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778, www.cshospice.org
