Karen Lorraine Beckett's Obituary
Karen Lorraine (Foster) Beckett, 69, passed away on May 13th, 2020 in Lake County Florida. She was born on November 10th, 1950 in Barton, Ohio to Walter and Lillian (Hughes) Foster.
Karen is survived by her daughter Evelyn (Thomas) Sells of Bellaire, Ohio. And her son with whom she resided with, Thomas Beckett, Jr of Tavares, FL. Her sister Dot (Ray) Fulton, brothers Walt (Sandy) Foster and Rodger Foster all of Belmont county Ohio. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws and dear friends.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Thomas Martin Beckett, Sr., her sister Laura Edge and brother Frank Foster.
Karen was a 1969 graduate of Bellaire High School. She still remained friends with several of her school mates over the years. Those friendships meant a lot to her. She enjoyed reminiscing with her friends about their younger years. Karen also received associate degrees in Business Management and Secretarial from Belmont Technical Collage.
Karen loved to spend time with her family and friends. She especially loved the family gatherings on the holidays. She enjoyed growing flowers, cooking, baking, canning, drawing, doing crafts, going fishing with her family, doing crossword and Sudoku puzzles, going to card parties and she enjoyed being part of Facebook where she made many friends. She liked to share Facts of The Day with her Facebook friends and always wishing her friends and family Happy Birthday on their special day. She loved hummingbirds, angels, fairies, pigs and of course any and all flowers.
Karen lived in Belmont county, Ohio most of her life. She did live in Lake county, FL as well and had recently moved back there in September of last year with her son, Tom.
In Karen's memory plant some flowers, enjoy the beauty in every day, spread the love and be kind to everyone.
Services have been entrusted to Steverson Hamlin and Hilbish Funerals and Cremations.
