Judith "Judy" Jean Staselavage's Obituary
It is with great sadness and profound love, that the family of Judith Martin Staselavage announces her passing. Judy, age 86, of Astatula, Florida, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025.
Born on July 4, 1939 in Monrovia, IN, Judy was the daughter of the late Clyde "Jack" and Lily "Jean" (Stanley) Martin.
Judy graduated from Monrovia High School in 1957.
Judy was an amazing, strong woman who never let an obstacle stand in her way. She enjoyed decorating and making a house a home. She had many hobbies including golf and darts. She was into DIY before it was an acronym. She loved her family and friends deeply. She had a great sense of humor and made friends everywhere she went. She never missed an opportunity to send a card or letter. Judy’s work ethic was unmatched and her priority was always family and friends. The values she lived by will continue to shape and inspire her loved ones for generations to come.
In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William John Charles Staselavage, her adored son Anthony William Rooker, and her brothers John Martin and Jared Martin.
Judy is survived by her dearest niece and nephew, Gina Everett (Kurt) and Eric Martin (Ashley). She was also a devoted Great- Aunt to her Great- Nieces and Nephews, Brittany Jordan (Austin) Bailey Everett, Garrett Martin, Grant Martin and a Great-Great-Aunt to the newest addition of the family her Great-Great- Niece Chandler Joell Jordan.
She was a loving Mother to her daughters: Wilenda Turner, Dawn Blackwell (Johnny), and Ginger Shields; a special Granny to her beloved grandchildren: Jordon Hays (Chris), Rebekah Shutt, Angel Turner, Taryn Praytor (Ridge), Thomas John and Tinsley Blackwell, Carrie Hubbard, Brittany Ward and Jennifer Martin (Alan); and her great grandchildren: Lazarus Turner, Hazel Shutt, Briggs, Remington, and John Barrett Praytor, Makinley, Thorrin, and Cameron Hubbard; as well as her dearest friends and wonderful neighbors have added so much joy and friendship to her life.
The family will have a private gathering to celebrate Judy’s life at a later date.
