Joseph Anthony Cavanaugh, Sr.'s Obituary
Joseph A. Cavanaugh, Sr., age 98, of Lone Jack, MO went to Heaven to join his beloved wife, Victoria Louise on Mother’s Day May 13, 2012. He was born January 13, 1914 in Providence, RI, the youngest of 12 children to John and Catherine Cavanaugh of County Wicklow, Ireland. He died peacefully in his sleep, having led a life of generosity and compassion. His family and friends will remember him with respect, admiration and love for his many qualities and kindnesses. He set a wonderful example of how to live a happy and successful life. His love of family, his good humor, integrity and service to others will always be remembered. He is survived by his children, Barbara Sullivan of Lancaster, PA, Patricia Geer of Lone Jack, MO, and Joseph Cavanaugh, Jr. of Ormond Beach, FL; 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 9:00AM at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis. Interment followed at Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity. Arrangements were entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 E.
