Dear Debbie and family,
It was a shock to learn of Jon's passing, so close to our RGHS special class reunion. He has always worked diligently to organize those events from afar, and of course, you approached the task as a team. I met Jon n fifth grade at Cooperstown, where his rolicking laughter and sense of fun were immediately apparent and never changed through the years. May your faith, family, and the time you shared sustain you..
With sincere sympathy,

Dearest Debbie and family,
I was so terribly saddened to hear of John's passing. He was an absolutely wonderful man. Through all my experiences I have met many, many people over the years. I can count on one hand the number that are/were in John's caliber, and he leads the small group. His organization and MC-ing of our reunions was a very great accomplishment. The high school group that you two were in is an exceptional bunch and without John's influence they might have not had the opportunities to get together and stay in touch that John provided them.
Please convey to your children and to the rest of the family my sincerest sympathy. I had a crush on John's little sister for awhile in high school. I know that people say a lot of things at times like this, but sincerely, if I can do ANYTHING to be of any help or assistance, please let me know.
The only thing that I can say to you dear is to rely on your faith and your family and friends to help you through this sad time. I wish there was more I could tell you.
With my deepest sympathy,
David Green
Debbie,
We are so sorry to learn of Jon's passing. It is hard to believe. Jon was a wonderful friend. I have known him since we were kids in Cooperstown. We used to go to the same church and hang out. He would often come to my family's home and along with other kids from town, we would play games in our yard. We loved to play a game where we threw a large ball over the roof of our house and the other team would try to catch it when it came over the roof. Then he worked for my dad at his sawmill for a while and developed a good relationship with both of my parents. He was a beautiful soul and I am sure he is up in heaven watching over you and your family.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

To Jon's family,
I would like to express my deepest sympathy to you for the loss of your beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Our paths have not crossed for decades, but I will always remember Jon's kindness and his big smile. Although he left this world much too soon, he will never be forgotten and will always be fondly remembered.
My thoughts and prayers are with you now and in the difficult days that lie ahead. Wishing you comfort and peace as you remember the happy times you shared...
Sincerely,
Rosalyn (Walker) Miller

My heart breaks with Jon's passing. There is not enough space to share all the memories. Growing up as farm kids in little Cooperstown, then high school where we were more like brother and sister than cousins . As the years passed we didn't see as much of each other, but when we did, it was as if time stood still. I will miss his smile, his teasing, his laugh, but especially his genuine kindness (much like his parents). Rest In Peace dear cousin!
Love, Debby Friggle Hughes
Brad and I were saddened to learn of Jon's passing. We have fond memories of your years at Rocky Grove Avenue Presbyterian Church and his willingness to serve however he could. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Debbie, Mandy and Megan - as well as your families.
