John Robert Lewis' Obituary
John Robert "Badhair" Lewis, age 65, passed away at his home in Astatula, Florida on Friday, December 23, 2016. Born May 22, 1951 in West Liberty, Kentucky to Lottie Frances Jarrells and Russell Lewis. He graduated River High School in Hannibal, Ohio in 1969. He was married in the early 1970's. He worked for North American Coal mines from the early 1970's to the late 1980's. He had three wonderful sons; Robert Lewis, Joshua Lewis and Seth Lewis. After the coal mines shut down, he relocated to Apopka, Florida working in construction with his brother and a friend. In the late 1980's, he became a truck driver and spent the rest of his professional career in the transportation business. He was forced to retire due to illness in late 2011. He remained at his home with family until the morning of December 23, 2016. John Robert Lewis is survived by his spouse; Sons, Robert Lewis; Joshua Lewis and Seth Lewis; Grandchildren, Amber Lewis; Zen Lewis; Gavin Cross; Sarah Lewis and Tess Lewis; One Great-Grandchild, Richard Robles; Mother, Lottie Lewis; Brother, Ollie Lewis; Sister, Susie Lewis; Aunts, Aythel Brown and Ruth Gibson; Uncles, Ollie Jarrells and Bill Jarrells.
If there was one last thing he'd say to everyone, it would be: "By God, Woodrow... it's been one hell of a ride".
