John Ivar Keithley's Obituary
John Ivar Keithley, age 76, of Tavares passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017. He was born December 1, 1940 in Macomb, IL and moved to Tavares in 2004 from Carman, IL. He was a construction worker with Maritime and Labors Union. He was a member of ABATE in Lamoine Valley and a member the NRA. He loved deep sea fishing, motorcycles, shooting sports, racing, watching western movies, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Keithley of Tavares, FL; son, Jerry Keithley of Burlington, IA; daughters, Terri (Marvin) Gittings of Lomax, IL, Sherie Pulse of Stronghurst, IL, Lorri Keithley of Stronghurst, IL; grandchildren, Chris (Myra) Gittings, Luke (Emily) Gittings, Jon Keithley, Tim (Heather) Keithley, Cierra Pulse, Savannah Pulse, Mikayla Britton, Megan Wakefield; and great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Gittings, Aziir Smith, Jaydon Bales, Landen Keithley, Lydia Keithley, Antwon Britton, Zane Trevino, and Thadeus Bandy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Teckla Keithley; sisters, Eva (Daryl) Vail and Kris (Leon) Kolhoff. A Celebration of Life will held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Moffitt Cancer Research, Tampa, FL or Cornerstone Hospice, Tavares, FL.
