John "Jack" David Stahler IV's Obituary
Jack Stahler passed away quietly and peacefully on Monday night, September 23, 2019 from congestive heart failure. He was born on September 7, 1942 and felt fortunate to just celebrate his 77th birthday. He and his wife Connie of 45 years resided in the community of Royal Harbor (Tavares, FL) since 2010. Prior to that they lived in Bucks & Montgomery Counties in Pennsylvania where they raised their fabulous family.
Jack is survived not only by his wife, but also his daughter Holly Schade, daughter Lauren Smyth, son David Stahler, daughter Wendy Howard, and son John Stahler. He has 9 grandchildren: Austin, Dillan, Kayla, Hailey, Aubree, Jack, Ray, Lucas and Drake. He also has one surviving brother, Richard, who resides in New Jersey.
Jack was born in Philadelphia, PA. He attended Temple University as a young man and was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He then worked at Moore Products in Spring House, PA for 33 years as a Draftsman. After retiring, he became a school bus driver which he totally enjoyed.
Jack loved Frank Sinatra, the Eagles football team, dancing, boating, martinis, flirting, the Weather Channel, old comedies on TV, and always making people laugh.
The family will be receiving visitors and celebrating his life at Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, 226 E. Burleigh Blvd. (Hwy. 441), Tavares, FL on Saturday, September 28 from 2:00-4:00 pm. We will be sharing memories about Jack beginning at 3:00.
The funeral and additional services will be coordinated through Wetzel & Son Funeral Home in Willow Grove, PA the following week. Interment will be at Forest Hills Cemetery in Somerton, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
