John Llewelyn Gename's Obituary
John Llewelyn Gename of Tavares, Florida passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 at the age of 81 years. He was born May 13, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois. He worked in product development and was key in the development of the Pocket Fisherman and other Popeil Brothers Company products. He was also in the Naval Reserve. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Dian (Gename) Knize and her husband, Michael Clyde Knize; son, Jeffrey Mitchel Gename and his wife, Jeanne (Clawson) Gename; grandsons, Jason Michael Knize and his wife, Mary (Staggs) Gename, and Austin Scott Gename. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Susan Gename, wife, Patricia Florence (Knights) Gename; and a son, John Scott Gename. A memorial ceremony will be held Saturday, October 29th at 10:30 am at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1400 S. Wolf Road, Hillside, IL. A reception will follow at Alpine House restaurant in Westchester. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
