John Leonard Crosby Sr., a beloved resident of Tavares, Florida, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024. Born on June 3, 1935, in Bristol, Pennsylvania, he made his home in Flagler Beach, Florida, since 1993 and recently relocated to Tavares.
John was a devoted member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Bunnell. His passions included hunting, fishing, bowling, and playing pool. For many years, he worked as a compassionate bus driver, ensuring that the elderly had safe transportation to appointments and shopping.
At the age of 79, John retired, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and community service. John was preceded in death by his son, Daniel J. Crosby in 1998. He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his daughter, Jane C. Crosby of Tavares, and his son, John L. Crosby Jr., along with John Jr.'s wife, Joyce, from Zionsville, Pennsylvania; his sister, Sharon Burg of Bristol, PA, also mourns his passing.
John leaves behind a loving family, including seven grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. His memory will forever live on in their hearts.
