Only today did I learn, to my great dismay, of Dr. Trybulski's passing. My deepest sympathy is extended to JoAnn's family. She was an excellent professor who taught us so well about qualitative methods and the infusion of humanness these methods bring to inquiry. JoAnn always conveyed authentic interest in the progress of those she taught. She was a highly engaging professor who will be sorely missed. I sense a personal loss.

JoAnn was a wonderful human being; kind, generous of her time and knowledge, and a pioneer in academic and clinical nursing practice. It was my pleasure to have known her, to have learned from her, and to have worked with her. In your solace, may you and your family know how she touched so many people with her caring and kind spirit, her leadership, and her depth of knowledge in the practice of Nursing. My deepest sympathy to you, her husband and daughter, and to your family.....
I was so saddened to hear of JoAnn’s passing. She was a great boss and mentor and always inspired me to be a better person and nurse. I can’t imagine what a difficult time this must be for your family. My condolences.

I personally was honored to have known Dr. Trybulski as a Professor, colleague, mentor and friend as a member of the first UM DNP class. She was my DNP Chair, cheerleader, support, and mentor for my DNP project and through this relationship we developed a friendship. She was one of the best Professors I have known, was caring, highly intelligent, warm and spiritual. My heartfelt prayers go out to her family & friends at this sad time. I am surely going to miss this special angel. She touched many lives, and certainly mine. With Love, Colleen "2009" UM DNP class

JoAnn was so kind and welcoming to my sisters and I, when we came and took over the house all those years ago with our parents Liz and Pete. Even inviting one of my friends over for dinner who was in the area at the time. I know my mum and dad will really miss you, but I know they have many special memories of the time you spent together. So much love to you Ed and Sarah x. X x siobhan x x
