I am very saddened by the loss of my longtime friend Jerry. I will always remember the conversations, the good times, the bad times and the memories we shared. Jerry was always a very optimistic guy, nothing ever seemed to get him down, even near the end because of his sickness. If he was your friend,he was your friend no matter what and that's a trait of a good good man. I will continue to admire him because of his never ending love for his family and friends. Friends like Jerry do not come along very often in our journey through life and I am very proud to be considered a friend by Jerry. I can't express the thanks and gratitude enough for all he did for me. I could go on but there's not enough time to tell how I feel about a guy who I think was a standup guy, second to none. RIP MY OLDSMOBROTHER AND GODSPEED.

My heart is sad and love is felt for my friends who I've always considered my family since I was 5 years old.
My memories of Jerry Sr. were always admiration. As a child, I admired his passion and care for me as his son's best friend. He was the man I wanted to be. He had a beautiful house, beautiful family, and he always took time out to talk with me. We'd talk construction, life ambitions and of course car talk! It was Jerry Sr. who shaped my love for Hot Rods as a child when he took us to the World of Wheels. Through my teens, we'd talk GTOs, Corvettes, Olds and more. I took pride telling him about when I built my first engine and bought my first Hot Rod. He taught me alot about gardening & landscaping by employing me at times to help around the yard. He always asked about my family. He was a caring man. Looking back at life, he was a fatherly inspiration.
After I moved, we loss communication, but even now I feel he is a part of my life. I have reflected much this week on my life and I owe Jerry Sr. a big THANK YOU for being there for me in my youth. Your soul lives on in my house, helping to shape our family's future. You will always be remembered in my heart. I'll always hear your greeting, "Hey Chucky".
Mrs. Chapman, Mimi, Jerry and Shawn, you are my family and I love you. Our prayers are with you all <><
