Jeremy Nelson Pennington's Obituary
Pennington, Jeremy N., age 28, of Clermont, FL passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 18, 2010, of complications from cystic fibrosis. He was born in Birmingham, AL. Jeremy worked for the Chapter 13 Trustee in Orlando as a computer technician. He was Vice President of The Matthew 25 Foundation, an organization committed to providing for the less fortunate. Jeremy is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Samuel L. and Garnet Pennington. He is survived by his parents, Sam and Vera Pennington, Clermont: his wife, Darcey Sims, Tallahassee; his sister, Cheryl Smith, Oxford, AL,; maternal grandparents: Estelle Barre, Orlando, Charles and Docia Barre, TN; mother-in-law Janet Sims, Orlando and many aunts, uncles, and friends. He will most be remembered for his amazing dry sense of humor and his loving and caring nature. He loved the Lord and is running free in heaven now. Visitation was held at The River Church at 796 Hooks Street, Clermont, from 2-3pm on Sunday March 21, 2010 with a Celebration of Life following at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to The Matthew 25 Foundation, 10102 Tween Waters Street, Clermont, FL 34715. Arrangements were entrusted to Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, 226 East Burleigh Boulevard, Tavares, FL 32778.
