Jeannette Gambrell's Obituary
Jeannette Gambrell, 81, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. Jeannette was a Florida girl born in Winter Garden, Florida on January 2, 1940, to Horace Flowers, Sr., and Minnie May Flowers. A Domestic Engineer by trade, Jeannette was very happy to stay and manage the household and to be available and ready when the kids came home from school. Jeannette and her husband Glenn, lived in the Tavares area for several years and were members of the Mid-Lakes Christian Church.
Jeannette is preceded in death by her parents: Horace and Minnie Mae Flowers, and her beloved husband of 49 years, Glenn Doyle Gambrell. She is survived by her son, Brent Gambrell, and daughter Cindy Green. Brother, Horace Flowers, Jr., grandchildren: Wade Irwin (Brittany), Michael Green and Hailey Green and great grandchild: Tucker Plaisted. "Adopted grandsons"; Matthew Gambrell and Xavier. A gathering of family and friends for Jeannette is scheduled for Tuesday, June 29th from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, 226 E. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares, Florida 32778. A celebration of life service will immediately follow the gathering beginning at 7:00 PM with Executive Pastor Jacob Baumann officiating. A graveside service for Jeannette will be on Wednesday, June 30th at 10:00 AM at Tavares Cemetery, 2055 Dead River Road, Tavares, Florida 32778.
