Jean Charles Andre Bignon, 81, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025 in Orlando, Florida. Jean was born on January 8, 1944 in New York, New York and grew up in Long Island. He was the 1st generation born in America after his parents immigrated from France. He met his loving wife of over 55 years, Ann, at the Bank of New York and fell in love. They were married in Brooklyn at St. Anselm’s Church and then moved to Piscataway, NJ after their 1st of 5 children was born. They moved to a 2-story home on Kerwin Street, where they stayed for 37 years until they moved to Tavares, Florida in 2004. Jean worked at UPS for 25 years and always made time for family. He was our go to person to fix our homes, cars, appliances and our hearts. He was always quick to give hugs and his loving advice to help guide us to the right path. We enjoy family dinners every Sunday in Queens, NY with our grandparents and spent summers camping all around NJ and PA. He was a devoted father that supported all his children’s dreams, ideas, and aspirations. He was a devout Catholic and always encouraged everyone to pray and respect God’s wishes. He always sought to bring out the best in all of us. Jean is survived by his children and their families, Ann Marie Bignon, Michele Johnstone and her son Greg, Jean Bignon, his wife Amy, Yvonne Bennetti, her husband Jason and son Brandt, Jeanette Buhring, her husband Mark and their children Benjamin, Evelyn and Elijah, his sister Alice Mullamphy, nieces Nancy Marsh & Marguerite Waltz.
