Papa was loved by all who knew him. I'm privileged to have known him and I'm so glad that my kids were able to know him. Not many people can say that they knew their great grandfather and we were all so blessed to have had such a wonderful man in our lives.
I'm grateful that Alexis' school project led her to interview Papa about the war and his life so that we could all learn more about his experiences.
Although I know that it was his time to go, and that he was ready to go, it is still sad for us to say goodbye.
I'm sure he knows how much we all loved him and we will miss Papa dearly.
